My name is Luke Jackson-Bluglass. I am a student of Psychology at the University of Liverpool. Much of my interest in Psychology comes from finding an interest in group dynamics and how it shapes our individual lives. With the advent of online communication, group dynamics has been exposed to new elements that may have vastly influenced how people interact.
To understand culture is to understand an aspect of the human mind in pragmatic terms, rather than as an abstract concept, and I have tried to immerse myself in as many different groups as possible. I was shown a new aspect of British society through previous work I’ve done with the homeless, leading me to write a blog on the topic based on interviews with members of the homeless community in Liverpool, later receiving an award from PsychLiverpool. I’ve also been active in a number of political and environmental groups. Through these experiences I have been able to see a snapshot of different lives, which have allowed me to observe the many similarities and differences in human perspective.
